I have boarded with Misty Meadows for well over a year and have been very pleased with the facility, trainer, staff (young and old alike). The stalls are always clean, water always clean and available. The trainer is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. As a former high schooler and teenager (many years past) I very much enjoy the young women at the barn. They are well educated, well mannered and well trained in their positions at Misty Meadows. I have boarded at show stables in Florida that did not offer the relaxed, yet professional atmosphere available at Misty Meadows.
The most unprofessional barn I have ever been associated with! Misty Meadows has actually put the barn in the care of high school children. The smart-mouth attitudes of these kids telling the boarders what will and will not be done with their own horses. The owners of Misty Meadows continue to side with their poor choice of employees. Sadly there are very few equestrian centers in the Clarkesville GA area, which leaves horse owners no choice. I would recommend to anyone who is considering to board your horse there, not to. Drive a little further to a far better place. I would NOT recommend Misty Meadows Horse Farm to anyone!
Even during my short visit in Clarkesville, GA, I loved to visit the Misty Meadows Horse Farm. The horses all seemed very well cared for, the people in charge of horse lessons really seemed to know what they were doing! The only tiny thing I didn't really like about Misty Meadows is that there were flies everywhere, but I could tell that the staff of Misty Meadows was taking care of that by all of the fly traps. I'm also kind of a city girl, so I wasn't all that used to it. Next year if I go to Georgia again, I'd be glad to return to Misty meadows!
I have personally been employed at this establishment for over two years now and I can say with complete confidence that this is the greatest team I have ever had the joy to work with. Everyone here is geared towards your horse's happiness, and your personal enjoyment. A wonderful place for kids and adults alike, Misty Meadows strives to make you a welcome part of the "barn family", and I wouldn't trade my job for any other in the world. I encourage you to remember that not everything you read online is true, and instead I ask that you come out and experience this place for yourself. Don't miss out!
Manager was NOT very friendly...seemed put out at having to answer questions. Doesn't seem to want new clients...ever....too bad nice facility, but VERY pricey.
